The Megabyte, designed by Ian Bruce, Bruce Farr and Russ Bowler, is described as the gentlemens Finn. Originally aimed at the heavier sailor, though equally capable for those a little lighter, the carbon fibre mast and large sail area allow it to plain both up and down wind. The boat has two sets of foot straps on each side of the boat, allowing the helm to take a crew if they wish.
